Our lap dog

Bella isn't allowed on furniture, however, something I started when she was a puppy was that I would let her sit in my lap on a blanket. She has always loved to cuddle. Well, of course she doesn't understand how big she is now, and she still likes to snuggle in our laps.

Vol Navy!

Last weekend for the TN/FL football game, we got to enjoy being part of the Vol Navy. Below are some pictures taken from the boat ride and also from tailgating at the game. Although TN lost, it was still a fun day. The boat ride was pretty chilly that morning riding in, but going back that evening at sunset it was beautiful and the weather was perfect!

Yes, I am wearing orange, if you can believe it! As Juan (Preston's stepdad) pointed out, "Man, it must really be true love." He was right. That's the only explanation. :)

Atlanta Weekend Getaway

We made our annual Atlanta weekend getaway last weekend. We've made it a summer tradition to book a mystery, 4-star hotel in Buckhead via Hotwire and then plan a fun weekend trip to Atlanta. This year we ended up at the W Atlanta - Buckhead. It was really cool and trendy...and definitely geared towards the singles crowd! :) It was fun though. And a great location, right in the middle of Buckhead. We were close to our favorite breakfast place, The Flying Biscuit, and also a favorite dinner place, Dantanna's. Not to mention close to the MARTA station (which we use to travel down to Turner Field) and right next door to Lenox Mall! The Braves played an exciting game against the Cardinals on Saturday afternoon, in which the score stayed tied until the bottom of the 12th inning when Alex Gonzalez hit a 3-run homer to win the game! Very exciting! They also had a special 9/11 tribute at the game which was very touching. So all in all, we had a great weekend full of relaxation, great food at every meal, great baseball and great shopping.
