After we lost Josie, we both said we didn't want to get another dog for a long time, and when we did get one, it would not be another cream Lab. However, we were recently presented with the opportunity get Josie's half-sister - the last one there would ever be. We found out that Josie's sweet dad, Nevada, was 10 years old now and was never going to be bred again. The last time he was bred the mother had 1 solitary puppy, and that 1 puppy was sold. However, at the last minute, the buyer was not be able to take the puppy afterall and she was available again. We figured this situation was put before us for a reason. After a few days of thinking it over, we realized that no matter how long we waited to get another dog, it would never, ever be able to "replace" Josie. It didn't matter if it was years from now, nothing would affect Josie and the place she has in our hearts. And to be able to have Josie's little half-sister felt very comforting to us (plus once we get a baby there's no way we could handle a puppy too)... So meet Bella! She is almost 10 weeks old. She looks like she is going to be bigger and stockier than Josie. And she is already proving to be much more mischievous! You literally cannot take your eyes off her without her getting into some trouble. She wakes us up in the middle of the night barking, not because she needs to go out, but because she wants to play!!! Although Samson did not like her at all at first, he is slowing warming up to her, and she adores him!
Being an only child...she clearly got all the milk she wanted! Look at that fat belly!
She loves to sleep in the dirty laundry pile
More napping in the dirty clothes
We're using Samson as a growth chart. Bella is 8 weeks old here.

Here she is displaying her mischievous side. She loves to grab the toilet paper off the roll and drag it around.
Exhausted after all her trouble-making! Look at those huge little paws!
